Even a little snail has a story to tell. We found this guy on the porch the other day. It is the largest snail we have ever seen in this spot before. The beans were amazed.

Something I never thought I would enjoy... architectural photography. I only wish I had moved slightly to the right in order to get the sunrise reflection in the building.

Rusty Color Bar

Now that the time is changing, I can catch the sunrise on my way to work. It is amazing to think we get a beautiful sunrise each and every morning. I definitely took this for granted before I started taking photographs.

117/365 Party!

We had a blast celebrating 1 & 4. Everything was amazing and I wanted to post all of the cool signs and games I made...WANTED is the key word. I got too caught up in all the festivities to take very many pictures at all. I was so sad that night when I went to edit. However, my kiddos had a great time and I was there to enjoy it. Sometimes being present is way more important than getting that great shot. Not many to see, but the bottom middle one is my absolute favorite.

116/365 GiGi & PaPa

I really enjoy telling a story with my photos. It is so difficult to pick just one photo for my 365 posts, that I have turned to collages.

First day of school! His backpack was almost half his size. My big bean is in Pk 4. Someone once told me that the weeks take forever, but the years fly by. I have found this to be painfully true. I am so glad I decided to improve my photography skills so that I can better document the most precious moments of their lives.

My little one started doing this out of the blue the other day. I had to go grab my camera. He wants to be just like daddy. BTW it is just plastic :)

I LOVE to watch my little beans sleep.

I tried to have a little "photo shoot" with my beans for their upcoming party, and as always it did not go quite as planned. I really wanted them to wear these clown noses I got from Hobby Lobby, but the baby bean refused. So at first I had this:

This was ok, but my focus was off and I wanted something better. The beans were restless only 2 min into our photo session so we had to think of something brilliant. Daddy decided to flap his hands and go crazy to make them smile, but then we ended up with this:

which was actually pretty awesome, but not exactly what I was hoping for. So then it was time to get serious:

This was a little TOO serious for a carnival party. Finally I ended up with this gem that I love. It is not a perfect photo, but it shows baby bean's new teeth and the silly side of older bean.

and the party planning continues...

Carnival Party Inspiration

We have some big birthdays coming up... 4 & 1! I decided to have a joint carnival party after reading this blog post by Little Blue Boo: Little Blue Boo

The playing cards are the main inspiration, so I made a color scheme that would be available to me when I am shopping for supplies.

HC turns one!

I had the pleasure of photographing this sweet little girl yesterday. She is one tough cookie, but I managed to get at least a few pictures of that sweet smile. Here are a few of my favorites:

If you have boys, you know how important it is to always be on the lookout for bugs. I love the earth tones of this picture. So, of course I had to make a color bar. I should mention that I got the template for this color bar from The Coffee Shop blog if you want to make one for yourself.

Color Bars

I just figured out how to make might become a new obsession. They are very addictive!
