Saying Goodbye
Saying goodbye to the only home you boys have ever known
Hard not to think about how much you have grown
My feet know every creek on this hardwood floor
I am sure you will leave some tiny fingerprints on the back door
The Christmas tree spot
Easter eggs painted with dots
Brother in my womb
You in the playroom
An oven that made more pizzas than I can count
Seeing you two run about
Laughter and time outs
Quiet time and time to shout
The highs and the lows
Evenings spent playing in the hose
More memories will be made, of this I am sure
They just will not be made looking in THIS front door...
